Lara Jean's Playlist

Lara Jean's Playlist

1. Can't Help Falling in Love (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGJTaP6anOU)

This song exemplifies how Lara Jean felt about all her crushes. She couldn't help but fall in love with them and did not even want to be in love with them.

2. Thinking Out Loud (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lp-EO5I60KA)

This song reminds me of how Lara Jean and Peter fell in love. The lyrics "we found love right where we are" perfectly explains how they accidentally came to be. They were never intended on falling in love but their situation caused them to.

3. What Hurts the Most (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qH4qyi1-Ys)

This song best fits how Lara Jean felt when Margot started dating Josh. The lyrics "never knowing what could have been" fit how she had dreamed of Josh being hers and struggled with not knowing if he had ever liked her, knowing that she could never ask.

4. You're Still the One (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNZH-emehxA)

This song is fitting because it aligns with how Lara Jean came to like Peter after getting over him so many years ago. When explaining why she liked fake dating Peter, Lara Jean said that it was nice to feel like she belonged to someone, which is why the lyrics "you're still the one I run to the one that I belong to" are so fitting.

5. Just the Way You Are (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjhCEhWiKXk)

This song makes me think of Josh's jealousy towards Peter and feeling that he was not good enough for Lara Jean. Josh has always known Lara Jean better than Peter since they were childhood friends. He grew to like her for who she truly was back then. He feels like Lara Jean doesn't act like herself when she is with Peter and so he doesn't know who she is but he loves/likes her just the way she is.

6. We're All in This Together (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbrbUfYSt0E)

This song represents how close Lara Jean's family is. They see each individual's problems as being something they all need to deal with so no family member has to suffer alone. They recognize that each of them is "special in their own way" but "together's where [they] belong."
